Simplistic and Unique HoldMeDry Toothbrush Holder for Improved Everyday Hygiene

How did our journey begin? Ideation using 3D-printing -Design to Engineering
In 2013, I stumbled upon an article that introduced me to the world of 3D printing and the innovative platform called Shapeways. Intrigued by the concept, I delved deeper into understanding how Shapeways was transforming the way designers and 3D printing enthusiasts could collaborate and bring their ideas to life.
Excited by the possibilities, I decided to put my engineering skills to the test and address a persistent everyday problem. Over the course of several months, I meticulously designed and iterated on more than a dozen prototypes. Shapeways made the entire process seamless with its user-friendly features like easy design uploads, instant pricing, design acceptance checks, and a hassle-free ordering system.
Initially, I faced some challenges as my early designs were not mature enough and incurred higher costs or failed to meet the design acceptance criteria. However, I persisted, and finally, the day arrived when I was completely satisfied with my design. The next hurdle was selecting the right material, and despite my initial uncertainty, I opted for ceramic due to its suitability for my product’s application.
When the day came for my design to be printed and delivered, I was filled with anticipation. Although there was a slight delay in the shipment, it was well worth the wait. The attention to detail and craftsmanship displayed by Shapeways was truly remarkable, exceeding my expectations.
But my journey didn’t end there. Empowered by Shapeways and the possibilities of 3D printing, I continued to refine and enhance my designs, breathing life into new ideas. The ability to transform raw concepts into tangible products and make them available to the market was a belief that Shapeways and 3D printing instilled in me.
With each iteration, I discovered that the potential of 3D printing was limitless. It provided me with a platform to bring my wildest design dreams to fruition and continually innovate. Thanks to Shapeways and the world of 3D printing, my journey as a designer and problem solver continues, always pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
